The RAFMAN Club Foundation, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization incorporated under the laws of the state of Florida and includes military veterans retired and non-retired from the Air Force, Marine, Army and Navy. The club’s motto makes our mission clear: “Men striving together to make a better community for all concerned.
In 1996, we established an endowed RAFMAN Club Scholarship through the Valencia Foundation to support Valencia College students. We are proud to support Valencia and its students as active partners
The Twenty-Third Annual RAFMAN Club Scholarship Banquet will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Orlando, 3000 S. John Young Parkway, Orlando FL 32805. Registration will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by the banquet and program at 7:00 p.m. Our keynote speaker for this year’s banquet will be Mr. Eugene Jones II, Executive Dean for Valencia’s Downtown Campus. In addition, we will honor this year’s scholarship recipients and a local individual for their outstanding community service at the banquet.
Each year the RAFMAN Club Foundation selects a number of Valencia college students for a scholarship. These scholarship are paid for by funds generated from our annual scholarship banquet.
Our theme for this year’s banquet is “Embracing the Challenges of STEM”(Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
Our goal this year is to select six Valencia college students for a $1000 scholarship and four students for a $500 scholarship. The RAFMAN Club Foundation has awarded over $60,000 in scholarships since 1997. We are pleased to announce that the Valencia college students who were recipient of the RAFMAN Foundation scholarship have gone on to receive degrees in the medical field, education, engineering, computer science, business, mathematics, accounting, paralegal studies etc.
We invite you to join us in reaching our goals and making a difference for deserving Valencia students by sponsoring a table(s) and/or by purchasing seats and/or an ad in our commemorative banquet program booklet.
